Welcome to GlidAR (the “Platform”). The Platform is provided and controlled by GlidAR (PVT) Ltd (hereinafter called and referred to as ‘GLIDAR’ or ‘we’ or ‘us’).

This Privacy Policy shall be considered as part and parcel of the User Terms of Use Agreement and shall be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions stated therein.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to help you understand how GLIDAR collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit and/or use our Mobile Application or Website (hereinafter called and referred to as “Platform”).

Please read the following policy to understand how your personal data will be treated as you avail of services of GLIDAR.

We collect and use the following information about you.

Profile information
Your profile information is the information that is required from you at the time of signing up in our Platform, as well as the other information you choose to share. Your personal information includes but not limited to;

▪ Registration information: Information that you are required to provide at the time of signing up to create an account in our Platform includes your name, Email address and phone number.

▪ Information you choose to share: Information you choose to disclose and give consent to includes your gender, birthday and profile picture.

User content and Behavioral information
We process the content you augment using our Platform including the images and videos that you upload and the augmented content that you record and share with your contacts (“User content”). We collect information received through surveys, challenges, competitions and promotions that you participate using our Platform. We also collect information regarding from or about the mobile phone, tab or other device you use to access our Platform, including your IP address, your location, type of services you availed of and marketing and promotional material viewed by you, etc. We collect Information on user interactions within the app to better cater promotions to client preferences and to provide insights to the businesses. This includes the Promo codes saved (saved under “Promo Codes” in your profile); Hotels, Restaurants, Key Locations, Real Estates and Outlets (called and referred to as ‘Business listings’) marked as Favorites (saved under “Favorites” in your profile) and augmented content that are downloaded (saved under “My Downloads” in your profile). When you interact with our support or sales teams via email, telephone, or online, we collect personal data, such as your name, phone number, email address, IP address and contact preferences, information and other information that the user volunteers. We may also create event logs to assist with diagnosing and resolving product or app performance-related issues, and capture information relating to the support or service issue. If you have consented to disclose these information, we use them for the purpose of delivering personalized advertising and content. We infer your personal data to inform about our services and opportunities.

Information from third parties
You may choose to share personal data with us from third parties or through the use of the Platform. In such events, data may be collected automatically. Further details regarding the use of information collected from third party are outlined below:

Business Partners
In the event you choose to sign up in our Platform using third party Platforms (Facebook and Google), we may collect such third data automatically as you consent to allow us to access your social network in order to provide us with your username and public profile. Similarly, we will share information such as your App ID, Access token and URL with the social network. Further information on sharing your contact list or social network is outlined in Invite your friends.

Advertisers and Advertising Networks
The information we collect from you including your interactions with the Platform and other third party sites are used to infer your likely interests to and provide you with personalized advertising. This information helps us to identify the Business Listings you’ve visited; Business Listings marked as Favorites; websites you’ve been redirected; augmented content that have been viewed, recorded, shared or downloaded; Promo Codes viewed, saved and availed; reviews that have been published on the Platform; apps that have been downloaded; and purchases that you have made so that we could predict the content that may interest you in the future to provide you with relevant advertising and evaluate the effectiveness of advertising in our platform. We collect above information through Cookies and similar technologies on our Platform and similar information is collected from third parties who use our Platform for advertising and whose sites you’ve visited through our Platform.

Technical information
We collect certain information automatically when you use the Platform. This includes IP address, browsing history (the content viewed/ accessed on the Platform), last date and time of activity and the version of the app you are using. We also collect information about the device you are using to access the Platform including model of the device, the device system, operating system, network type, device ID and screen resolution. In the event you log in from multiple devices, we may use your profile information to identify your activity across devices.

We use the ‘Region’ you select in Settings to customize your experience. When you use the Platform on a mobile device, we will collect information about your location. In certain jurisdictions, with your permission, we will collect Global Positioning System (GPS) data and mobile device location information. If you do not wish to share your precise location with us, you can switch off location services via the settings on your mobile device.

Invite your friends
When you register on the Platform using third party Platforms, this functionality allows you to invite your friends from either your telephone’s contact list or Facebook friends list to join you on the Platform. We will use the contact information you have for that person, either from within your telephone’s contact list or Facebook friends list and give you the option to send them either an SMS, email or third party message (such as Whatsapp, Facebook (including Facebook Messenger) or Twitter) inviting them to view your GlidAR profile.

Cookies and similar technologies (eg.pixels) are used to understand your use of our Platform; understand your online behavior and how you use the internet, search and discover other products and services; enable more features and store information about you; monitor and understand the use of our products and services, and as a means of providing security for you and other users.

Our primary purpose in collecting and storing your personal information is to provide you with a secure, smooth, efficient, and customized user experience.

We may use your personal information to;

– Provide our services and customer support;
– Process your requests and send communications/notices to you;
– Resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems;
– Prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our User Terms of Use Agreement;
– Customize, measure, and improve our services and the content, layout, and operation of our GLIDAR Products and Services;
– Deliver targeted marketing, service update notices, and promotional offers based on your communication preferences;
– Contact you at your telephone number, by placing a voice call or through text (SMS) or email messaging, as authorized by our User Terms of Use Agreement;
– Compare information for accuracy and verify it with third parties;
– Storage of data:
– The information we collect is saved in AWS data centers currently based in the US. By using GLIDAR Services, you consent to the hosting of your personal information on servers in both locations and the transfer of your Personal Data outside of the country it was collected. It is important to note that countries have different regulations in relation to personal information, including in relation to rights of access by law enforcement authorities.

We may share your personal information with;

Business Partners
If you choose to register with our Platform using your social media accounts (Facebook/Google), you will provide us with your username and public profile from which can access certain information such as app ID, access token and the referring URL.

When you opt to share the content in the social media platforms, a link to the content will be shared. The content could also be recorded or downloaded. In such event, the content will include GlidAR logo.

Service providers
We share your information with Service providers, who provide services on our behalf and/or who help with our business operations such as fraud prevention, analytics providers, marketing, and technology services in order to provide a safe and enjoyable Platform to you all. Service Providers include cloud storage providers, customer support providers, email marketing and SaaS providers.

Advertisers and Advertising networks
Our clients herein referred as “Advertisers” use our Platform to create interactive content. We share information with our Advertisers regarding your interactions with the advertisement including the views, shares, recordings, downloads, redirections and conversions. If you have provided additional Personal Data as part of the AR marker/ views (eg. as part of a competition entry), we will transfer this information to our clients as part of consent. Further we share your device ID to link your activity on the Platform with your activity on other websites. This information is used to show relevant advertisements to you.

Payment Providers
If you choose to purchase services through our Platform, we will share data regarding the purchase with our online payment gateway provider and other financial institutions that we partner with to facilitate the transactions. We share the transaction ID to identify you and the credit card account with the correct transaction value.

Sale or merger
We will disclose your information to companies that we plan to merge with or be acquired by. Should such a merger or acquisition occur, we will require that the new entity follow this privacy policy with respect to your personal information. If your personal information could be used contrary to this policy, you will receive prior notice.

Our corporate group

We may also share your information with other members, subsidiaries, or affiliates of our corporate group, to provide the Platform including improving and optimizing the Platform, preventing illegal use and supporting users.

Law enforcement
We will share your information with law enforcement, government officials, or other third parties pursuant to a summon, court order, or other legal process or requirement applicable to us.

The personal data that we collect from you is transferred to and stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Where we transfer your personal data to countries outside the EEA, we do so under the Commission’s model contracts for the transfer of personal data to third countries (i.e. standard contractual clauses) pursuant to 2004/915/EC or 2010/87/EU (as appropriate). • The right to request free of charge (i) confirmation of whether we process your personal data and (ii) access to a copy of the personal data retained;
• The right to request proper rectification or removal of your personal data or restriction of the processing of your personal data;
• Where processing of your personal data is either based on your consent or necessary for the performance of a contract with you and processing is carried out by automated means, the right to receive the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to have your personal data transmitted directly to another company, where technically feasible (data portability);
• Where the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, the right to withdraw your consent at any time without impact to data processing activities that have taken place before such withdrawal;
• The right not to be subject to any automatic individual decisions, including profiling, which produces legal effects on you or similarly significantly affects you unless we have your consent, this is authorised by Union or Member State law or this is necessary for the performance of a contract;
• The right to object to processing if we are processing your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds which may override your right. If you object to such processing, we ask you to state the grounds of your objection in order for us to examine the processing of your personal data and to balance our legitimate interest in processing and your objection to this processing;
• The right to object to processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes; and
• The right to lodge complaints before the competent data protection regulator.

We use a number of reasonable mechanisms (e.g. encryption, passwords, physical security) to protect the security and integrity of your personal information against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. So while we strive to protect such information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. However, if we get to know of a harmful data breach or imminent harmful data breach, we will strive to inform you of such breach.

We retain your information as long as it is necessary to provide you with the service so that we can fulfil our contractual obligations and rights in relation to the information involved. In the event we do not require your information to provide the service, we retain the information as long as we have a business purpose to do so. However, in certain circumstances we are obligated to retain the information for a longer in accordance with the legal obligation to exercise necessary legal claims or defense. Once you terminate the use of our Platform, we retain your information in an aggregated and anonymized format.

GlidAR content is directed at audience of all ages in certain circumstances when the content is educational. However, users need to be 13 years or above to create their own accounts with GlidAR. Use of the Platform by children under the age of 13 years must be guided by parents. Therefore, we do not collect information of children under the age of 13 years. We will notify our users of material changes to Privacy Policy, through a notice on our Platform. However, you should check this policy regularly for any changes. We notify the users of the last date of change made to this policy by mentioning the effective date as “Last Updated” on top of this policy. Your continued use of the Platform post the date of the updated policy represents your acceptance of the updated policy.
